A humorist is defined as one who displays humor in public speaking.  David goes well beyond simply adding humor to a speech.  He weaves a series of stories around a central theme.

Storytelling is an art form that was a primary source of entertainment in rural Kentucky. In his hometown of Rockfield, David was surrounded by hometown folks that had many great stories and loved to tell them. Many of these stories are based upon true life experiences, while others are a little more “fanciful in nature.”   As a kid he listened to these and learned to tell a few of his own. He began competing in storytelling contests while still in grade school, and continued these endeavourers through his high school years and beyond.

 

David will take you on a virtual  trip, usually down South, where you will meet a variety of folks and laugh at their fortunes and misfortunes.  He specializes in stories with a southern flavor.  He humorously compares life in the North vs. the South and visa versa.
